Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who is currently detained in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case, was transferred from Parappana Agrahara Central prison to Ballari prison on Thursday under heavy security. The move to Ballari Central Prison, known as the ‘Kala Pani of Karnataka’ due to its inadequate facilities, signifies a new phase for Darshan. He is expected to remain at this prison at least until September, and if there is a court appearance, arrangements will be made for him to attend via video call.
